Miami Beach Pet Grooming License Requirements (2026)
📋 Your checklist
State
- No Florida state trade license is required for this type of work. You still need the local receipts below.
- Business name and entity filings (Sunbiz)
LLCs and corporations file an annual report ($138.75 for an LLC). Using a name other than your legal name? Register it as a fictitious name.

Local (Miami Beach / Miami-Dade County)
- City of Miami Beach Business License (CU + Fire + BTR)
Every business needs a Certificate of Use, annual fire fee/inspection and Business Tax Receipt. The CU is issued after Planning approval and fire inspection; then apply for the BTR.

Businesses inside a city need both a city receipt and a county receipt. One receipt per location and per business category.

Still to verify for your business
- 🔎 verify: We found no Florida state license specific to pet grooming; confirm with your city/county
- 🔎 verify: Zoning or Certificate of Use rules for a shop or a mobile grooming van
- 🔎 verify: your exact local business-tax amount (it depends on your category, size and staff)
